Beacon House is a neighborhood based organization that supports at-risk youth and families of the Edgewood Terrace community in Washington, D.C. Beacon House offers educational, cultural, recreational, and athletic programs.

Monday Beacon House tutors must go to BOTH Reading & Math FLOC Training

Tuesday Beacon House tutors only need to go to FLOC Math Training

Math Training Sessions

Wednesday, September 23rd, 6:00pm-9:00pm

Thursday, September 24th, 6:00pm-9:00pm

Saturday, September 26th, 1:30pm-5:00pm

 

Reading Training Sessions

Friday, September 25th, 3:30pm-6:30pm

Saturday, September 26th, 9:00am-12:30pm

 

Training Location:
FLOC Building, 1763 Columbia Road, NW Washington, DC 20009
Transportation: You are responsible for your own transportation to orientation and training.  See below for dates and directions.

Directions: Orientation and trainings are all located at FLOC Building, 1763 Columbia Road, NW Washington, DC 20009

Take Red Line to Woodley Park/Adam Morgan metro
Exit onto Connecticut Ave, to the left of escalators
Make a right onto Connecticut Ave and walk to the end of first block
Make a left onto Calvert St, which becomes Adams Mill Rd. after second light
Walk on Adams Mills to Columbia Rd
Make a left onto Columbia Rd after the Exxon Station
Walk to 1763 Columbia Road.  FLOC is on the left just after radio shack.

ALL training/orientation sessions are Mandatory.

Work-study students will be paid for all training & orientation.

     Where to meet:  Front steps of McMahon Hall (by the flag poles)
     Transportation:  Beacon House shuttle
